Striped Squill Bulbs

Striped Squill - Puschkinia scilloides libanotica 'Alba'

Pure white star-shaped flowers, several to a stem, held above narrow grey-green leaves. This is the white form of the striped squill, without the blue central stripe that gives the species its name. Low-growing and undemanding, it works well in gravel, rockeries and the front of borders.

Plant in groups of 25–50 at the front of a border, in a rockery or under shrubs, where the pale flowers show up against bare soil. A shallow pot takes 20–30.

Can cause stomach upset in cats and dogs if eaten.
