Crocus Bulbs

Crocus - Crocus

Goblet-shaped flowers that open flat in sunshine and close again when it clouds over, in a mix of purple, white and yellow. They are one of the earliest sources of pollen in the year, so bees find them quickly. Small enough to plant in grass, where the leaves die back before the first cut of the season.

Plant in groups of 25 or more, 5–8cm apart, as a few scattered bulbs make little impact. In a container, 12–15 bulbs fill a 20cm pot.

Can cause stomach upset in cats and dogs if eaten.
